S. Wayne Kelly - Principal, President

From 1977 to 1985, Mr. Kelly directed a regional office for the prominent Southern California firm of Emmet L. Wemple & Associates. As Office Director, he was responsible for design development, project management and coordination, staff assignments, business development and Client relations. Since 1985 Wayne has been active in developing successful practices in Northern California. To his credit he has over 30 years of experience and has been a contributing team member on a number of major business, commercial, and recreational projects.

Wayne's professional experience encompasses the full range of both private and public sector projects with a focus on community-wide projects, including the development of landscape guidelines for several specific plan areas located in the City of Roseville. Other community related project involvement includes mixed-use traditional neighborhood planning, downtown redevelopment, centers for business and commerce, streetscapes, recreation, and community development.

Mr. Fuhrman has over 24 years of diversified experience in the practice of landscape architecture. Steve began his career, in the green industry in 1978, as a designer, superintendent, and estimator for a medium sized design-build landscape contractor in southern California. Steve also spent a year as a landscape architectural and construction consultant for a residential developer involved in a 1,200-acre residential community in Placer County, CA. He was responsible for construction budgeting, site planning, passive solar applications, erosion control studies, offsite construction supervision, and writing design guidelines and CC&Rs.

Since 1983, Steve has maintained roles as a Project Manager for a landscape architectural firm in Sacramento, as a Principal of his own firm from 1992 to 1998, and now as a founding Principal with Land Architecture, Inc.. His varied duties have included site planning, design development, contract documents, construction administration, project management, business development, marketing, preparing proposals, and conducting public presentations and workshops. Steve has exemplified well organized business administration and creative design skills in order to develop a successful service-oriented practice. His credibility is based on his sensitivity to identifying programming and scheduling needs at the onset of each project. Steve is drawn to innovative, cost-effective design solutions, and continually focuses his efforts on service and responsiveness to client needs.

Mr. Leamy has worked in the practice of landscape architecture for 12 years. He began his career in 1995 as a landscape designer and consultant for Hischier Nursery in Modesto, CA. While working there, he acquired an extensive knowledge of plant material and was involved in high-end residential design. He was responsible for consultation, design, installation, and construction administration.

From 1997 to 2003, Kevin worked for Yamasaki Landscape Architecture as Production Manager for this design-build firm in Auburn, CA. Yamasaki Landscape Architecture specializes in exclusive, high-end residential projects and small-scale commercial projects. His duties varied and included site analysis, design development, project management, and construction documents. Working at this design-build firm allowed Kevin to develop his understanding of proper construction practices. Since coming to Land Architecture in 2004, Kevin has been the Project Manager on numerous projects, ensuring that the projects were completed on schedule and within budget. In 2008, Kevin was promoted to Principal Landscape Architect, with a focus on new client development. Throughout his career, Kevin has developed a wide range of design skills and qualifications, which have enabled him to manage many successful projects that met the needs of his clients.
